Consider a world without blogging. We would be missing out on a lot of how-to and inspiration. The birth of the blog came along in late 90s but what were we doing before then? I suspect mastering the art of life, families, home and hearth, but not necessarily sharing all that we learn or looking for all that we still need to learn.
Now we have a keyboard to send encouragement to thousands. My joy today is to introduce you to a few who will do just that . . .
And so, for those of you who don’t know what a blog hop is (like me, before my friend Jewell asked me to participate) – here’s what I found out:
I was asked to join in by posting answers to four questions and suggest a few friends, who in turn will do the same. Before I introduce you to these talented ladies, here’s the questions and here’s the answers:
What am I writing or working on?
Now that my new book, Crumbs Along the Broken Path has been released, I’m totally contented just praying for the next step. One step seems to be leading me to a Bible Study dealing with healing and wholeness – a blend of Biblical examples mixed with personal examples. Also, I continue to work on blog posts and articles for publications where I contribute.
How does my work differ from others in its genre?
I like to write for women who just need a word of inspiration (and so) I attach a personal story and a reflective question in hope they will discover their own story. Everybody has one, you know!
Why do I write what I write?
To offer hope and share the goodness and greatness of God, my passion. We’re all touched by the difficult and the dark – and we all need encouragement, even on the good days. Agree?
How does my writing process work?
It just works for me. My process is simply emptying life on paper. I record the God moments, sometimes just jotted in haste on a scrap at a traffic light. Then, in the pause and ponder times, it somehow becomes a story or a post!
So, come and meet my blog-kindreds – you’ll be blessed that you did . . .
Jewell Utt can be found at www.jewellutt.com Her ministry is wrapped up in three words; passion – purpose – promise. She speaks it, writes it, and sings it! Visit her blog and you will be drawn in by her honesty and deep humilty. Active in ministry in various ways, her true love is one great guy (her husband) and three other great guys (her sons, musicians all). A good Jewell quote: When we set out to bless others rather than focus on our lack, we gain wisdom and blessing in return.
Lori Hynson, the super-blogger –speaker–singer–award winning author of inspirational memoir, Supergal vs God is also a recovering SuperGalaholic. Know what that is? It is one of those “I can do anything girls” – and she has! But she found out when God stepped into her busy professional life and over turned her personal life, that she absolutely could only do things through His strength. Although she wears multiple hats (and boas) in life, her first ministry is to her husband Ben, five children, twelve grandchildren and of course, Morticia the cat. You can benefit from her amazing story by going to Lori’s blog, Secrets of a Recovering Supergal” found at www.lorihynson.com
Lisa Tomerelli is a blogger at www.gainfaithloseweight.com where she blends powerful real-life stories with faith-filled perspectives for life’s challenging issues, including weight loss. We need you, Lisa! She strives to increase her faith each day and lose the things that weigh her down. Involved in women’s ministries for over a decade, she enjoys helping others use their gifts of leadership, encouragement, and wisdom. She’s a wife and a mom who recognizes how God uses her precious family to teach her more of His love.
So, there you have it – whether you want to shift your focus, lose the Type A control and shed the boa, or lose weight, gain faith and shed pounds, you have three very dynamic new friends to visit.
